SYNOPSIS
A film about mastering the arts of love and riding giants Even leads a directionless life – he’s kind of guy who never completes anything. Tord, his best friend, is the opposite: a great surfer with a prestigious job and beautiful Karen as his bride. The last part is especially hard on Even, who is not-so-secretly in love with Karen. When Tord asks him to look after Karen --who is pregnant -- while he is out of town, Even decides to clean up and master the waves to impress her. At first he’s a prime candidate for drowning, but a surfing legend becomes his mentor. Tord is gone a long time, and his trip keeps getting extended.. Karen becomes more and more vulnerable and scared as the birth of her baby draws nearer. Even becomes a source of great comfort and support for her, and they grow closer and closer. Her feelings are as chaotic and tumultuous as the waves off the Jæren coast. The forces of nature are rising. The monster wave is coming.
